Aerospace Challenge 2019

The Aerospace Challenge offers a superb opportunity for keen and able people to get involved in assessing land and water pollution using the best-available satellite imagery, plus perhaps drone data dependent on the participants’ interests.
Full information is available here:
More background information and some sample imagery appears here: the imagery shown there is around Lake Ellesmere near Christchurch, there is no reason why Marlborough-Nelson-Tasman entrants could not focus their entry into the Challenge on data pertaining to the Top of the South Island. The organisers are keen to get as many entries as possible. Note that there is no age limit (young or old!), and so it is possible that local high school students might wish to enter, but equally well there could well be more-senior parties with good ideas based on their years of experience.

Time is short (the deadline for entering proposals is April 15).
