Amadeo Enriquez Ballestero, Science Presentation Coordinator, Otago Museum will talk on: A TRIP TO THE EDGE OF THE UNIVERSE
Starting on our planet lets travel through space until we reach the edge of our visible Universe. First stop is the moon, then the other planets and their moons, asteroids, comets, stars, black holes… and a glance at what we can see from the time when the Universe came to be what we see today – The moments after the Big Bang! We are small in the vast scale of the Universe, but also we are big, we are as big as the universe, we are actually a part of it all! Through science we can understand things and feel connected in the deepest way possible, and like with religion, we can find a meaning to our existence. This interactive talk will address all those ideas, and encourage more thinking about how science can help change the world
