The History of New Zealand birds in New Zealand: Geoff Norman

July 23rd: Geoff Norman, the author of “Birdstories”, will talk on the History of New Zealand birds in New Zealand. 
Kiwi, kākāpō, takahē, moa, tūī – these birds, and many others, are unique to Aotearoa New Zealand, and famous throughout the world. Geoff Norman will talk about the unusual evolution of our birds, their place in both the Pākehā and Māori worlds, the disastrous impact of two waves of human migration and their survival and conservation.
