Lindsay Wood “Translating Climate Science into Effective Action”
Tuesday February 13, 2018
NMIT, Room A211
7.30 – 9.00 pm.
Lindsay Wood is passionate about improving the effectiveness with which society applies scientific and technical information in the quest to simultaneously restore the environmental balance of our planet and maintain a worthwhile lifestyle. Lindsay recently spent an intensive two months in Germany immersed in conferences and visits related to climate change, and brings us a wide-ranging synthesis of that study tour, from the milestone EU Ramses “Cities and Climate” conference (where he also presented a paper) to riding an electric freight delivery bike in Hamburg, and lots in between (such as the politics of sewage sludge; and why it’s important to agree how greenhouse gas emissions should be monitored from space).
